First, Thanks Matt for the Rotax Email List Forum. Second.. Who am I? My name is Paul Petty. I am building a Kolb Kolbra and I have a 912ULS that I purchased from a a fella in Washington DC as he parted out a Zenith 601 that he did not want to sell as a complete aircraft for reasons unknown. Some of you may remember this engine. Since then I have mounted the engine and run it on the airframe. Also Since then I have attended 3 Rotax flying club schools. We are now a level 2 repair station under South Mississippi Light Aircraft www.flysmla.com . We have yet to see any work on 912 engines but thats ok. After this last school and going over class material, It became apperent to me that there may be a market for people, who have bought aircraft with 912 series engines, or people who are installing these engines in their aircraft, and may seek basic or advanced information on systems and or installation issues.
We have a 5000 sq ft facility complete with comfortable conditions and hotels 15 miles from us. We are located 50 minutes drive from Jackson MS. We also have a 1700' grass strip at our location.
I would like to establish a once a month school or class for Rotax 912 series engines and offer basic engine maint. and install.
What do you think?
