To the Group
The new kits being delivered for 2007 include a new center console that is 1.5" narrower and no taller than the spar box, giving much more hip and elbow room than before. A new "bucket" stlye seat pan to match. Also a selection of powder coated parts too. All around improved parts fit and finish. We have worked closely with Aircraft Windshileds INC and now offer as an option flip down windows on both side of the canopy. Just an update for all interested, The build assist center is filling up with new builds, and aircraft that were started just 3 months ago are flying home now as you can see on the web site. New kits can be delivered as soon as 3 weeks, we have 2 extra on hand, and a few airframe slots open still for next month. Wednesday was a very busy day 2 new first flights and a vist by N155LT and N17EF, it was nice out and they couldn't resist the flight.

The new center consoles; have they been shipping with kits for the past several months?

Jim,
Since it is 10:15PM here in Tennessee, the Lightning guys will not see your question about the new center console until morning. Since I am out her for a few more days, and stuck in the motel, I will answer your question. Yes, the new center consoles have been shipping for about two months. I know that because I looked over Charlie Keith's kit in Virginia just after Christmas, and it included the new center console. And guess what, that change also includes a really great formed seat pan that, in addition to the wider seat area, also gives you more head room. Overall a great upgrade.
