Here’s a photo of the series recommended Rotax fuel pump setup using manifolds. They had this at the Rotax maintenance class I attended in Canada. Nice and clean. These manifolds and this setup were designed for use in certified 914s. I was going to buy the manifolds until I found out they had “precious certified” costs as well. I went to McMasters and Aircraft Spruce and found “off the shelf” manifolds that worked for much less. Thanks to Dan Bish A144 for digging these out. He also has a photo in the Europa build gallery on this setup.

Hi! Jerry.
The one way/non return valves (vis:- Europa designed system) are conspicuous by their absence.
What say you about this?..........I guess anything can look really tidy if some of the kit is missed out?

Hi Jerry
I am a firm believer that Europa has the right idea with their latest 914 fuel system layout where pump number two has a seperate feed from a second fuel filter or gasculator.
The fuel layout you posted does not have a second feed.
Here is a clearer layout of Europas schematic, I substituted two Andiar 375 gasculators instead of supplied filters. The momentary three filters were just that, momentary so I didn't put any debris into 5 gallons of borrower 100LL.

The check valves are there they are the small silver guys. They also are a very expensive certified Katana part. I think this layout meets the Rotax series requirement but obviously doesn't show the filter which is also asked for.

Yeah, it sure has more safety built into the system, maybe rotax will suggest that someday. They were probably addressing the pressure issues and the fuel pumps built in check valve not 100 percent failure proof when they went to the series and check valves system.
Anyway the manifolds are pretty!
